Write the first line exactly
It is the only sentence that has to be perfect. On a vertical feed there is no run-up and no thumbnail to buy you time, so the opening decides whether anything else gets watched.
Reduce the middle to cue lines
Three or four, of six words or fewer. Not sentences. Cue lines remind you where you are going without putting words in your mouth, which is exactly the difference between prepared and read.
Write the last line exactly too
Endings are where unprepared videos fall apart, trailing off or looping back on themselves. Know the final sentence and stop on it.
